Terms of Service

1. What From Here is

From Here is a discovery platform: we help people find local businesses, artists, makers, photographers, spaces and performers on a map, and let creators sell products, prints and services through the platform. We are the marketplace operator, not the maker of the goods or the host of the events.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 to have an account, or 18 to sell or receive payments.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password safe.
• One person, one account.
• We can suspend accounts that break these terms or the Community Guidelines.

3. What you can post

You keep the copyright in everything you upload. By posting, you grant From Here a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the platform, in emails and social posts about your listing, and in aggregated statistics. You can withdraw content at any time (deleting the post removes the licence going forward).

Do not post content that:

• Infringes anyone else's copyright, trademark or right of publicity.
• Misrepresents the location, price, availability or provenance of a product or service.
• Is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or targets a minor.
• Contains a pin outside the country the creator actually operates in (map hygiene).

4. Buying + selling

For buyers

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card is charged when you place the order.
• Refunds are handled by the seller (see their listing). If a seller won't respond, contact us — we can escalate to a Stripe dispute.
• Physical prints and goods ship from the seller (or their print-on-demand partner). Delivery estimates are set by the seller.

For sellers

• You keep 91% of each sale. From Here retains a flat 9% all-in fee (no cap), which includes Stripe's payment-processing charge — no separate deduction.
• You are responsible for describing goods accurately, honouring your listed delivery times, and complying with tax law in your jurisdiction.
• Payouts arrive in your linked Stripe account per Stripe's payout schedule.
• Chargebacks and disputes can be deducted from your future payouts.

5. Gigs + events

RSVPs on From Here are informal — no ticket is issued, no seat is reserved. If a performer cancels a gig, we mark it "Cancelled" on the map and in the digest so RSVP'd users see the update. From Here is not responsible for gigs going ahead as advertised.

6. What From Here can and can't do

• We do our best to keep the map running but we can't promise 100% uptime.
• We can remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion, especially if we're required to by law.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any single claim is capped at the greater of £100 or the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.

7. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time from Dashboard → Privacy → Delete my account. We can close your account if you materially breach these terms. On closure, your public content is removed and your personal data is purged after 30 days (see the Privacy Policy).

8. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll email you and post the updated version at least 14 days in advance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
