Community Guidelines
Last updated 1 September 2026
From Here works because thousands of small, real, local people trust each other on a shared map. These are the rules that keep the map honest and the community welcoming.
Be real, be local
- Only pin things at their actual location. Don't put a New York gallery in Cornwall to grab attention.
- Your profile is you or your business — not a fan page, not a bot, not a placeholder.
- Photos should be shots you took (or licensed). Don't reprint someone else's work as your own.
Be kind
- No harassment, hate speech, slurs or targeted abuse.
- Reviews should describe your experience — not attack the person behind the counter.
- Disagreements happen. Talk it out; if you can't, use the report button and step away.
Sell in good faith
- Describe what you're selling accurately: materials, size, edition, delivery times.
- Ship what you promised, when you promised, or refund promptly.
- No dropshipped mass-market imports pretending to be handmade.
- No illegal, dangerous or restricted goods (weapons, controlled substances, wildlife products, counterfeit brands).
Respect the space
- Don't post gigs at venues that haven't agreed to host them.
- Space owners: keep your hours and menu current. An empty pin is worse than no pin.
- Photographers: think twice before pinning someone's front door. Public streets and landmarks are fair game.
